Currents…the New Ballroom at Adventure Aquarium
Looking to create the wedding day of your dreams? If you answered "Yes!," then you absolutely must attend the Bridal Open House in Adventure Aquarium's new CURRENTS Ballroom on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. All brides-to-be (and one additional guest) are invited to attend this one-day event FREE OF CHARGE! Want to bring the entire bridal party? Not a problem…additional guests are invited to attend for just $10 each…even parking is free!
Guests of the Bridal Open House at the CURRENTS Ballroom will be invited to sample signature hors d'oeuvres and cocktails and will be introduced to Adventure Aquarium's preferred service providers offering services for everything from entertainment, floral and stationary to photography/videography, fashion, transportation and more. CURRENTS Event Specialists will also be available throughout the evening to answer questions and discuss the details of your very special day. Special contract incentives will even be offered to those who book that evening!
Best of all, brides-to-be will get an up-close view of Adventure Aquarium's stunning new CURRENTS Ballroom, which offers panoramic views of the Philadelphia skyline, as well as three movie-screen sized windows into the 550,000-gallon Shark Realm exhibit - home to nearly 30 sharks! With 9,000 square feet of space, CURRENTS offers a rare opportunity for sit-down functions for up to 400 guests and cocktail receptions for up to 1,250 guests. For smaller affairs, the space can be divided into three separate and distinct function areas, allowing CURRENTS to accommodate multiple functions without sacrificing the views. The space features state-of-the-art audio and visual capabilities, and with a separate entrance, staging area and facilities, CURRENTS offers an independent experience from Adventure Aquarium, allowing for day-time use without interruption. For those wanting to get more than their appetite "wet," Adventure Aquarium also offers experiences and merged space functions utilizing the Aquarium's exhibits and adventures.
Not only are the views exquisite and the space divine, the food at CURRENTS is not your standard banquet fare! CURRENTS challenges its chefs to produce signature dishes flavored with intricate sauces and reductions. The menu also boasts intercontinental offerings, featuring 15 top dishes from ARAMARK chefs around the globe, as well as an eclectic wine list.
