As if our 550,000-gallon Shark Realm Exhibit a 40-Ft suspended Shark Tunnel, a 25-ft high Shark Slide and our improved Touch-A-Shark* exhibit weren't enough, we've added even more BITE to our annual Shark Week Live event, Adventure Aquarium's official celebration of all things sharks! From August 1st through August 9th, discover the many fascinating faces of sharks, from majestic and bizarre to thrilling and misunderstood. Our Shark Week Live event is being held in coordination with the Discovery Channel's SHARK WEEK, cable's longest running event! Throughout Shark Week Live, come to Adventure Aquarium's ticketing window with a shark fin on your head to get $2 off the price of admission (creativity encouraged!).
In addition to the incredible variety of shark species and exhibits currently offered at Adventure Aquarium, Shark Week Live will showcase special shark shows and appearances, access to the top of our 550,000-gallon Shark Realm, opportunities to sign up for exclusive, behind-the-scenes tours, shark scavenger hunts with FREE giveaways, and even a chance to win one of Adventure Aquarium's "Swim with the Sharks" Adventures! If Adventure Aquarium knows anything, its sharks. After all, we're showcasing an impressive 10 new shark species, including the bizarre and beautiful Great Hammerhead Shark, one of only a handful on exhibit in the country. Stop by our 550,000-gallon Shark Realm Exhibit to gaze upon nearly 30 sharks as you walk through a suspended 40-ft Shark Tunnel. Looking to get hands-on? Visit our Touch-A-Shark exhibit and roll up your sleeves to touch White-Spotted and Brown-Banded Bamboo Sharks. Or, step inside "Cage Match," a virtual ride that allows you to simulate the experience of submersing yourself into the depths of Great White territory - without ever leaving dry land! Trust us…there' no shortage of shark fun here!

Sign Up For Our Ocean Realm Open House!
Throughout Shark Week Live, Adventure Aquarium marine biologists will offer exclusive, behind-the-scenes tours of our largest underwater exhibit - Ocean Realm - home to a variety of shark species, including our Great Hammer head Shark and our surprise new shark species! For $15, participants can access behind-the-scenes areas of our largest exhibits to learn a little something extra about Adventure Aquarium's Ocean Realm collection. See where and how Adventure Aquarium's marine biologists conduct physical exams on sharks and other Ocean Realm inhabitants; learn how they acclimate new species; see where and how the sharks are fed; and more. All money raised through the purchase of tickets will be donated to support ongoing shark conservation efforts. Live shows will be offered daily in both our 550,000-gallon Shark Realm exhibit and our 760,000-gallon Ocean Realm Exhibit.
