Chaperones
A minimum of 1 chaperone for every 10 children under the age of 18 is necessary for your school or youth group visit. These chaperone tickets are complimentary. Extra chaperones will be required to pay the adult group ticket price. To ensure a quality visit for everyone, chaperones must accompany children at all times.
Please download the Pre-Visit Packet for Student/Youth Groups or Adult Groups and distribute to all of the chaperones that will accompanying your group. This packet contains helpful tips and chaperone guidelines for the group leader to help them better plan their trip and get the most out of their experience at the aquarium. It also answers some of the general questions that group leaders often have.
Payment
A 50% non-refundable deposit is due within two weeks after your group reservation is made. Deposits should be paid by check or credit card and mailed with a copy of your confirmation letter.
The final balance is due two weeks prior to the visit. Purchase Orders are an acceptable method of payment for school groups if necessary. A copy of the Purchase Order must be mailed or faxed to the Group Sales office prior to the visit date.
Tax Exempt
By supplying Adventure Aquarium with a legal Tax Exempt Certificate, groups that are tax exempt will not charged the additional 7% New Jersey state sales tax that is added to group and individual admissions. Groups must provide the sales office with a legal Tax Exempt form prior to their visit to the aquarium in order to have the taxes removed from their reservation.
Cancellations/Changes
Reservations that are not paid in full or covered with a Purchase Order will be cancelled to accommodate for general admission sales. Please notify the group sales department at least two weeks in advance if your group numbers change or if you must cancel your visit. Deposits will not be refunded, but may be applied towards a future visit. Cancellations due to weather will be rescheduled.
