Hosting an Event

Parking is located in the surface lot(s) across the street from the Aquarium. Parking rates are $10 per car. Discounted parking passes may be purchased. Valet parking can also be arranged through your Catering Sales Manager.

Event rental times vary by location, day of the week and date. Your Catering Sales Manager can advise you on available timing.

We can host up to two evening events ; one in Currents Ballroom in the north building and one in South Seas Exhibits in the south building. Each event space has a separate entrance. Events do not share space.

Event rentals are three (3) to five (5) hours depending on event location and type of event. Event rentals include additional two-hour set-up prior to event and one-hour tear down.

No. All private event rentals must include food and beverage package. Ceremonies must include a reception.

Currents Ballroom rental does not include Aquarium access. Tickets can be purchased for daytime Aquarium access. Shark Realm access can be added to Currents evening rentals. South Seas Exhibit space is also available for evening rentals.

Adventure Aquarium Events and Catering is the exclusive caterer and beverage provider at Adventure Aquarium. Outside catering is not permitted. Arrangements can be made for guests with special dietary requirements.

The following is NOT permitted: confetti, sand, live fish, dried marine life, glitter, rice, bird seed, monofilament line, smoke machines, bubbles/bubble machines and balloons. Nothing can be posted, nailed, screwed or otherwise attached to the walls, floors, exhibit graphics or other parts of the buildings, furnishings or surroundings. All candles must be enclosed. Specialty lighting may not be directed into any exhibit. Your Catering Sales Manager can provide the full list of guidelines.

Yes. We can provide you with our event guidelines. We are also happy to provide a list of recommended vendors.

Adventure Aquarium children's birthday party room is no longer available. Currents Ballroom can be rented for daytime celebrations. All rentals require catering provided by Adventure Aquarium Events and Catering. Currents Ballroom rental does not include access to Adventure Aquarium exhibits.

Touch tanks and/or encounter animals may be available for your event. Pets and other animals, except for approved service animals, are not permitted.

House furnishings including tables, chairs, dance floor, linens, bars, service ware are included in event rentals. Your Catering Sales Manager can give you a complete list of included items.
